The Second Long Executive Specialisation Course Successfully Concluded at a high Note

The Closing Ceremony of 02nd Long Executive Specialisation Course was held under the patronage of the Commodore Damian Fernando, the Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA) at Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium today.

The Sri Lanka Navy commenced its own Long Executive Specialisation Courses to train mid-career officers in four different disciplines namely Anti-submarine Warfare, Communication, Gunnery and Navigation in 2019 at NMA. The second batch of officers commenced their training in 2021 amidst a challenging environment, due pandemic situation prevailed in the country.

For each specialization Course, ten officers were selected and all forty officers were given a tailor-made training capsule in both local and foreign reputed military and non-military institutions which best suits to the SLN requirements.

All officers successfully completed their training and bestowed with long specializations in selected fields and due join next assignment soon.

This is the highest course of study conduct at NMA for executive branch officers. With recent infrastructure development projects and acquisition of training aids NMA ensure all officers get the best training available.
