NMA COMMENCE RP II COURSE 02/2024 SUCCESSFULLY

A group of thirty (30) Radar Plotter, sailors arrived at the Navigation School of the Naval and Maritime Academy on 27th April 2024 to follow the RP II Qualifying Course for a duration of seventeen (17) weeks.

The aim of the RP II Qualifying Course is to impart professional knowledge to RP sailors to carry out their duties onboard ships as RADAR operators, duties of Navigator’s Yeoman, tactical communicators, Plotter’s duties in OPS Room, and upkeep and maintenance of navigation publications and related equipment respectively. The course will help them to perform their respective duties more effectively and efficiently. 3IC Navigation School addressed the trainees and emphasized the importance of this course to perform efficient navigator’s yeomen and departmental in charge duties during their future attempts. In addition, CI and other instructors from Navigation School attended the aforesaid event.  After the successful completion of 17 weeks, this aforementioned course will be scheduled to terminate on 26th August 2024.
