ABOUT US

Supply and Secretariat School was established at Naval and Maritime Academy on 05th July 1968. Since then the Supply and Secretariat School has been rendering an indomitable service to Sri Lanka Navy in keeping with the policy of qualifying both officers and sailors by imparting sufficient theoretical knowledge and practical training in the field of logistics. The school was renamed as the Logistics & Management School on 04th July 2018.

The Logistics & Management School comprised of 02 Class rooms for Officer Under trainees (OUT’s) with all requisites, 06 Class rooms for Sailor Under Trainees (SUT’s) with all requisites, well equipped model galley for practical training of Chefs and model wardroom with required facilities for practical training of Stewards.

  • Long Logistics Management Course

  • Prepare young Officers to fit into the service and perform entrusted professional tasks assign to them.
  • Qualify Sub Lieutenant Officer Under Trainees (SOUTs) falling under the degree programme to receive Bachelor Degree as a partial fulfillment of University Stream.
  • Qualify young Officers to be considered for confirmation in the rank of Lieutenant.
  • Inculcate qualities of leadership among young Officers.
  • Introduce trainees on Management Techniques, Leadership and Staff Duties.

  • Acquirer qualification to advance the rate of Petty Officer.
  • Enable them to be qualified in Qualification Pay & Group I Pay.
  • Impart knowledge in assisting the Divisional Officers in divisional matters. 

  • Improve the skills & professional knowledge of Leading Writer sailors.
  • For advancement to the rate of Petty Officer.

  • Impart knowledge in assisting Divisional Officers in divisional matters.

  • Improve the skills and professional knowledge of Leading Mess Assistants.
  • Consider this course as pre-requisite for advancement to the rate of Petty Officer.
  • Enable them to qualify for Qualification Pay & Group I Pay.
  • Impart knowledge in assisting Divisional Officer in divisional matters.

  • Improve the skills & professional knowledge of Leading Catering Assistant.
  • Consider this course as pre-requisite for advancement to the rate of Petty Officer.

  • This course is designed to impart basic theoretical and practical knowledge to perform duties as a Stores Assistant. The knowledge so obtaining will be the ground for further qualifying courses.

  • This course is designed to impart basic theoretical and practical knowledge to perform duties as a Writer. The knowledge so obtaining will be the ground for further qualifying courses.

  • The aim of this course is to impart basic theoretical and practical knowledge to perform duties as a Catering Assistant.

  • Improve the skills and basic professional knowledge of Mess Assistants.
  • Consider this course as pre-requisite for advancement to the rate of Able.
