Sinhala Literature Programme

 A literature programme was held at the Naval & Maritime Academy in parallel to the literature month from 1430 hrs to 1830 hrs on 27th October 2022 with the intention of making the naval and civil personnel attached to the Naval Dockyard and the NMA interested in reading and inculcate the habit of reading among them and improving the inter-personal relationship. This event was organized with the guidance and directive of the Commandant Naval & Maritime Academy Commodore Damian Fernando, RSP, USP, rcds All officer and Sailor Under Trainees at NMA took part in this event and performed enthusiastically. The Deputy Area Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Nalin Navarathne, RSP, USP, psc graced the occasion as the chief guest.

 The stalls to display books and stimulus to create taste for reading are arranged for the spectators and also short role plays were acted on the open stage in order to urge the participants to read books.

 The web page designed by the Information Technology School was released to the internal web by the chief guest at this occasion making e-books of the central library of NMA accessible to naval personnel.
