THE OPENING CEREMONY OF PO ‘Q’ (CH) COURSE NO 01/2025

The opening ceremony of Petty Officer Qualifying Chef 01/2025 Course, was held at the Logistics and management school on 03rd March 2025, marking the official commencement.

The aim of this course is to improve the theoretical and practical knowledge pertinent to the Chef branch and provide sufficient skills to work as professional chef in their respective branch. Upon successful completion of this course, sailors will be equipped with the necessary skills to use naval cookery and culinary items. This course consists of twenty – eight (28) Sailor Under Trainees who will undergo nineteen (19) weeks of academic studies, including four (04) weeks of industrial training at leading hotels in Sri Lanka. The course will conclude on 12th July 2025.

The Officer In Charge of the Logistics and Management School, Capt (S) RMIA Mendis, Second in Charge of the Logistics and Management School and other instructors from the Logistics and Management School also participated in the opening ceremony.
