‘WAVES OF HARMONY’– A BAND SYMPHONY CONDUCTED AT NMA

The Naval and Maritime Academy organized a band symphony titled “WAVES OF HARMONY” on 05 Mar 25 at Admiral Wasantha Krannagoda Auditorium. This musical event offered a unique musical experience for Officers and all Trainees at NMA.

The musical evening was graced by the Deputy Chief of Staff & Commander of the Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe as the Chief Guest. The Commandant and Directing staff of The Naval and Maritime Academy, Head of Departments and Commanding Officers within the Dockyard and Sailor instructors of Naval and Maritime Academy participated for the event. The event created a live and a relaxing atmosphere, bringing Officers and all Trainees together through music.

Sri Lanka Navy Programmed band, Oriental band and Cultural troupe led by the Lieutenant Commander Thissa Dharmadasa, conducted the band symphony allowing participants to listen selected songs and dances which offered dramatic musical experiences. The performances also reflected the professionalism and creativity of Sri Lanka Navy Band personnel.
