The closing address of the Certificate Course in Geographic Information System (GIS) 01/2025 for sailors in all operational branches, was held at the Information Technology School on 11th February 2025, marking the successful completion of the course.
The course was aimed to enhance the theoretical and practical knowledge of the sailors in GIS subjects and to equip sailors with the necessary expertise to excel as professionals in their relevant subject areas with GIS knowledge. The Certificate Course consisted of 14 Sailor Under Trainees who underwent two (02) weeks of academic studies at NMA.
The Second-in-Charge of the Information Technology School, LCdr (IT) KPHS Karunanayake, and instructors of the Information Technology School participated in the closing ceremony.
