OPENING CEREMONY OF  BASIC MARKSMANSHIP COURSE  01/2025

The Basic Marksmanship Course 01/2025 commenced with an opening ceremony at the Naval Marksmanship & Sniper Training School, Naval & Maritime Academy, on 10 Jan 25.

The course commenced on 10 Jan 25 with 10 officers and 3 junior sailors. The aim of the course is to enhance the proficiency of officers and sailors in the Sri Lanka Navy in handling small arms. Additionally, the course is designed to improve the professional knowledge and skills of the trainees, enabling them to fire their personal weapons efficiently and accurately under any battle condition. Participants will also gain valuable skills through practical exercises to further refine their proficiency.

The official opening ceremony of the course was graced by Lieutenant Commander (INF) HPTD Watagoda, the 2IC Naval Marksmanship & Sniper Training School..
