The ‘Navika Tharu’ variety show, organized by the Sailor Under Trainees (SUTs) of the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), was held on 03rd February 2024 at Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium. The event was designed to provide an opportunity for SUTs to showcase their talents, thereby enhancing their creativity and fostering teamwork and collaboration.
The variety show, comprising vivid artistic expressions and live performances, captivated the audience. The officers of the Directing Staff of NMA, Student Officer Under Trainees (SOUTs), Officer Under Trainees (OUTs), senior and junior sailor instructors, and SUTs witnessed the event, all of whom were impressed by the performances and showed their appreciation.
Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph, the Commandant of NMA, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, the Commandant praised the participants for their outstanding efforts and the hard work that went into making the event a success. He commended the SUTs for their dedication and commitment, and further praised them for their enthusiasm to work as a team to perform a remarkable show that entertained the audience.
