SRI LANKA AIRFORCE DRILL INSTRUCTOR “Q” COURSE 02/2024 VISIT TO THE NAVAL & MARITIME ACADEMY

Sri Lanka Air Force Drill Instructor “Q” Course 02/2024 was warmly welcome by the Naval and Maritime Academy on 18th Nov 24. The SLAF team visited NMA and SLN Dockyard as a part of their educational tour. SLAF Delegation was headed by Squadron Leader Nirosh Mayuranga along with 03 Instructors and 08 trainees.

The visit commenced with an informative presentation about the Naval & Maritime Academy and trainees witnessed the naval ceremonial event at the academy parade ground. The SLAF team was given a unique opportunity to visit SLNS Parakramabahu and Fast Attack Craft (FAC) simulator to experience the maritime capabilities and facilities available at SLN. Further, the team was taken in to Naval Museum to showcase historical evolutions and naval achievements of past the decades.

The visit was contributed to impart the knowledge of SLAF Drill Instructors about naval customs and traditions while enhancing inter-service collaboration.
