CLOSING CEREMONY OF RP II “Q” COURSE NO. 03/2024

The closing ceremony of RP II Qualifying Course 03/2024 was held on 15th November 2024 at the Navigation School of Naval and Maritime Academy with the presence of officers and instructors of the school.

The course commenced on 15th July 2024 with the participation of one (1) senior sailor & twenty-eight (28) junior sailors. During the course, one (1) junior sailor was withdrawn from the course on medical condition. The course was completed within seventeen (17) weeks and aimed at improving the professional knowledge of trainees to carry out Radar Plotter duties effectively and efficiently onboard ships and Naval Operations Rooms. All trainees were awarded with a certificate on successful completion of the course.

 The Officer In-Charge of the Navigation School, Commander (ND) HMWM Thilakarthna, RSP, USP, psc graced the occasion as the chief guest and congratulated to all course participants during his closing remarks.
