OPENING CEREMONY OF THE RP III QUALIFYING COURSE 02/2024

A group of 30 Radar Plotter sailors commenced the RP III Qualifying Course at the Navigation School of the Naval and Maritime Academy on October 7, 2024. This 26-week programme aims to equip seaman branch sailors with essential navigation skills for their duties onboard ships and ashore.

The course will focus on training sailors to operate RADAR systems, manage operations rooms, and maintain navigation publications and equipment. The 2IC of the Navigation School addressed the trainees, highlighting the significance of this course to perform duties as RP sailors in the future. The Chief Instructor and other staff members were also present at the event.
