CIVIL ENGINEERING SCHOOL, NAVAL & MARITIME ACADEMY TERMINATED VSS REFRESHER COURSE 02/2024 (PAINTER)

The closing address of the VSS Refresher Course 02/2024 (Painter) was held at the Civil Engineering School Auditorium on 26 Jul 24 marking the official termination of the course.

This course was specially designed to impart theoretical and practical knowledge to make the trainees qualified as professional Civil Engineering painter tradesmen. After successfully completing the course, the sailors will be equipped with the necessary skills to cater respective branch duties as volunteer special scheme painter sailors in the Civil Engineering Department. This course consists of twenty (20) volunteer special scheme painter sailor under trainees who have completed nineteen (19) days of theoretical and practical sessions at NMA. All trainees were awarded a certificate on successfully completing this refresher course.

The 2IC of the Civil Engineering School, LCdr (CE) BMA Gunasekara graced the occasion as the chief guest and congratulated all the course participants in his closing remarks. The Chief Instructor FCPO (CE) KP Jayalath and other instructors from the Civil Engineering School were also present at the closing ceremony.
