CIVIL ENGINEERING SCHOOL, NAVAL & MARITIME ACADEMY COMMENCED PO ‘Q’ ME(CE) COURSE 01/2024

The opening address of PO ‘Q’ ME (CE) Qualifying Course 01/2024 was held at the auditorium of Civil Engineering School on 29 Jul 24 marking the official commencement of the course.

This course is specially designed to impart professional knowledge in the civil engineering field for the sailors who have successfully completed the Leading ‘Q’ ME (CE) course. Further, upon completion of the course, they will be qualified to obtain NVQ Level 4 in construction site supervisory. The course is comprised of 30 course participants and they will have to undergo 26 weeks training programme.

The 2IC of the Civil Engineering School, LCdr (CE) BMA Gunasekara has officially inaugurated the ceremony and the Chief Instructor FCPO (CE) KP Jayalath welcomed all the course participants and other instructors from the Civil Engineering School were also present at the event.
