SURVEY RECORDER PHASE III QUALIFYING COURSE 01/2024 COMMENCED AT NMA

The opening address of the Phase III Survey Recorder Qualifying Course 01/2024 was held at the Hydrographic Survey School on 13th May 2024 marking the official commencement of the course.  This course aims to train the sailors who fulfill eligibility criteria, stipulated henceforth as Survey Recorder, and impart entry-level professional hydrographic knowledge. This course consists of 15 numbers of Sailor Under Trainees who are undergoing twenty five (25) weeks of academic studies at NMA as well as two (02)weeks of field practical phase in liaison with the Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Service. The Phase III Survey Recorder Qualifying course 01/2024 is due to terminate on 16th November 2024.

The Officer in Charge of the Hydrographic Survey School LCdr (BH) SPSK Gamage, the Chief Instructor FCPO (SR I) HPAD Pathirana, and other instructors participated in the course commencement ceremony.
