CLOSING ADDRESS OF RP II QUALIFYING COURSE 06/2023

 The Closing Ceremony of RP II Qualifying Course 06/2023 was held on 12th April 2024 at Navigation School with officer and sailor instructors of Navigation School.

The course commenced on 18th December 2023 with the participation of twenty-eight (28) junior sailors and unfolded for 17 weeks. The course was designed to impart professional knowledge for the trainees to Carry out Radar Plotter duties onboard SLN ships and to perform as Navigator Yeoman, Tactical Communicators, and Plotters in OPS Room, Demanding upkeep and maintenance of navigation publications and equipment both in practical and theoretical aspects to do their tasks in more effectively and efficiently.

All trainees were awarded a certificate on successful course completion and LSEA ME Maduwantha XS 51913 was awarded as the highest aggregator in overall merit.

 2IC Navigation School, Lieutenant Commander (N) WABC Dias graced the occasion as the chief guest and congratulated all course participants during his closing remarks.
