PRACTICAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT EXERCISE OF BASIC ORIENTATION COURSE 01/2024, DIRECT ENTRY 01/2023 AND SERVICE ENTRY COURSE 01/2024

Officer Under Trainees (OUTs) of Basic Orientation Course 01/2024 and Direct Entry Course 01/2023 and Service Entry Candidates (SECs) of Service Entry Course 01/2023 attended their Practical Leadership Development Exercise on 09th and 10th March 2024 covering Chapel Beach area. It was a tailor-made training programme, formulated based on practical sessions aimed at developing their leadership skills, teamwork, and situation-handling aspects.

The training programme was conducted by the Officer Training Wing together with the Combat Training Unit. 30 numbers of OUTs and 13 numbers of SECs participated in this exercise.

On completion of the exercise, OUTs organized a Variety Show based on the ‘Agni’ theme which related to the Hindu devotees followed by dinner. It was an Indian cuisine and prepared by them at Chapel Beach. Captain Sagara Udayanga, the Training Captain of Naval and Maritime Academy graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
