NMA COMMENCE RP II COURSE 01/2024 SUCCESSFULLY

A group of 27 Radar plotter, Sailors arrived to the Navigation School of the Naval and Maritime Academy on 02 nd March 2024 to follow the RP II Qualifying Course for a duration of seventeen (17) weeks.

The aim of the RP II Qualifying Course is to impart professional knowledge of RP Sailors to carry out their  duties onboard  as RADAR Operators, Duties of Navigator’s Yeoman, Tactical Communicators’ and Plotters’ duties in OPS Room, demand, upkeep and maintenance of navigation publications and equipment.  The course will help them to perform their respective duties more effectively and efficiently. OIC Navigation School addressed the trainees & emphasised the importance of this course in order to turn out as good navigators, yeomen & department heads in future.  In addition CI & other instructors from navigation school attended the event.  After successful completion of 17 week the course is scheduled to terminate on 30th June 2024.
