NAVAL & MARITIME ACADEMY CONDUCTED A LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP FOR THE SCHOOL PREFECTS

A leadership workshop for the school prefects of Mawanella Mayurapada Central College was conducted by the Naval & Maritime Academy under the directives of Naval Headquarters and the able guidance of the Commandant and directing staff on the 07th March 2024. During this training session lectures and activities were conducted by the Combat Training Unit, Officer Training Wing and Medical School of the Naval & Maritime Academy for fifty-nine school prefects to develop their leadership skills. Further, 12 teachers of Mawanella Mayurapada Central College also participated in the session. Throughout this one-day leadership workshop, school prefects were given knowledge about leadership & motivation, first aid and leadership training activities. Also, school prefects had the opportunity to get exposure by visiting museum, naval ship and harbour cruise. The primary aim of this leadership training program for school prefects is to develop future leaders who possess a strong sense of discipline.
