OPENING ADDRESS OF PO ‘Q’ SA/WTR COURSE 01/2024, PO ‘Q’ ST 01/2024, PO ‘Q’ CH 01/2024, P III CH 01/2024

The opening address of  PO ‘Q’ SA/WTR COURSE 01/2024, PO ‘Q’ ST 01/2024, PO ‘Q’ CH 01/2024, P III CH 01/2024 courses were held at the Civil Engineering School Auditorium of the  NMA. Capt (S) RMIA Mendis OIC Logistics and Management School graced the occasion as the chief guest. 2 IC Logistics and Management School, senior and junior sailor instructors in Logistics and Management School participated in the event.

All courses consist 120 sailor under trainees (SUTs) including 39 sailors from PO ‘Q’ SA/WTR, 38 sailors from PO ‘Q’ CH, 18 sailors from PO ‘Q’ ST and 25 sailors from P III CH  respectively. The courses are designed for a period of 24 weeks to enhance the theoretical knowledge and all the practical accepts in view of producing competent Logistics sailors in the SLN. Furthermore, participants will be able to inculcate loyalty, required leadership qualities and necessary capabilities to perform Naval duties in future.

Addressing the sailor under trainees at the opening ceremony, the OIC Logistics and Management School emphasized the importance of acquiring the knowledge regarding their profession and the personal life. Further, he congratulated all the participants and wished them all the very best for their future endeavors.
