NMA commences 01/2024 Boatman (Coastwise) Course

27 seaman branch sailors were attached to the Navigation School of the Naval and Maritime Academy on 06th January 2024 to follow the Boatman (Coastwise) Course for a duration of Twenty Seven (27) weeks.

The aim of the course is to impart adequate professional knowledge on Coastal Navigation to the seaman branch sailors with the sufficient experience in the Navy. To qualify leading rate and above seaman branch sailors will be competent to command Coastal Patrol Craft (CPC) / Inshore Patrol Craft (IPC) and perform navigation department duties onboard ships and ashore professionally.  After completion of 27 weeks the course is scheduled to be terminated on 13th July 2024.
