TRAINING COMMAND DISPLAYS AQUATIC PROWESS IN INTER COMMAND SWIMMING AND WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIP

The Inter Command Swimming and Water Polo tournament was held from 02nd to 04th November 2023 at the SLNS Gemunu Swimming Pool. The tournament was competed by contesters from the nine commands.

The training command women emerged victorious as the swimming champions whilst the men’s team was able to secure the runners-up position in the swimming and water polo events manifesting exquisite performances in water sports. Midshipman KNT Perera and Midshipman HRL Perera of the training command became the joint best swimmers in men’s swimming, whereas Woman Able Physical Training Instructor GDD Sakunthala of training command was declared as the joint best women’s swimmers along with Woman Able DRSDSK Dasanayaka of Western command.
