INAUGURATION PROGRAMME FOR SERVICE ENTRY CANDIDATES’ COURSE 01/2023

Service Entry Candidates’ Course 01/2023 was inaugurated at the Naval and maritime Academy on 06th  November 2023. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Mini Auditorium with the presence of Commodore Buddhika Liyanagamage, RWP, RSP, USP, ndc, psc, the Commandant of Naval and Maritime Academy as the Chief Guest. Commanding Officer, Officer Training Officer, Assistant Registrar – Examination, officers of the Officer Training Wing and the divisional team were present.

Sailors who have demonstrated exceptional discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of duty in their career are hand-picked to follow this course. The course is consisted with thirteen Service Entry Candidates (including one female candidate) of Executive, Electrical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Logistics and Administrative Officer Health branches. The Course has been designed for 48 weeks including 08 weeks of sea training, to impart knowledge on theoretical and practical aspects while improving qualities and capabilities to mould them to become competent and professional future naval officers.

Addressing the service entry candidates, the Chief Guest congratulated for being selected to follow the course and highlighted the requirement of acquiring essential knowledge to lead men and to make sound decisions while maintaining decorum, discipline, integrity, honour and punctuality at all times.
