SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF 04TH SERVICE ENTRY OFFICERS’ TECHNICAL COURSE AT NMA

Certificate Awarding Ceremony of 04th  Service Entry Officers’ Technical Course(SEOTC) was held at Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium on 02nd  November 2023 to mark of the culmination of the course. Captain Chandana Priyantha RWP, RSP**, psc, the Training Captain at NMA graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

04th  SEOTC was commenced on 02nd  May 2023 with the participation of nine (09) Officers belonging to the Medical branch and Engineering branch of Sri Lanka Navy (Administrative Officer Health – 02, Hull Engineering – 04, Marine Engineering – 03). This course was designed to enhance the knowledge and practical experience of Service Entry Officers related to their respective fields.

The course was unfolded for 27 weeks and comprised with classroom instructions on theoretical training for common compulsory naval subjects and respective branch subjects. Further, practical training on respective fields of the Student Officer Under Trainees was conducted at renowned government and private sector organizations exposing them to advanced technologies and trends on their respective vocations.

All the course participants were awarded with the certificates on their successful completion of the course. During the address of the gathering, the Chief Guest highlighted that NMA keeps trust on these officers and believes that they will move ahead with the knowledge they gathered during the course and will apply for the betterment of Sri Lanka Navy.
