The Passing out Parade of Medical Officers of Basic Orientation Course – 2023 was held at Naval and Maritime Academy

The Passing out Parade (POP) of Medical Officers of the Basic Orientation Course – 2023 was held at the Main Parade Ground of Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), Trincomalee on 30th September 2023. Three officers from the 33rd Intake of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, three officers enlisted through University Grants Commission Entry (2016) and another officer from the Direct Entry Intake 01/2022 were passed out on successful completion of their training at NMA.

Commodore Buddhika Liyanagamage, RWP, RSP, USP, ndc, psc, the Commandant of Naval and Maritime Academy, took the salute as the Chief Guest. Officer Under Trainees and Sailor Under Trainees participated in the parade. Moreover, families of newly passed out officers were present to witness the POP which was held in a grand manner.
