Insignia awarding ceremony for Clearance Diver III course 01/2023

           The Insignia awarding ceremony for clearance diver III course 01/2023 came into culmination with a high note on 11th August 2023 today at diving school premises. The ceremony was graced by the Commandant, Commodore B Liyanagamage, RWP, RSP, USP, ndc, psc.

           Clearance diver III course was commenced on 13th February 2023 with 24 sailors and terminated on 11th August 2023 with 10 sailors on completion of 24 weeks of training. 10 trainees were awarded with insignias by the Commandant, Naval and Maritime Academy on successful completion of their training. Commander PSK Bahara memorial trophy was awarded to Ordinary Seaman TKS Bandara, XS 121027 been the best diver of the Course.

           During the course the trainees were able to undergo theoretical and practical knowledge on diving in a successful and effective manner, so that they could build up their professionalism on diving, which was moulded them to serve in Sri Lanka Navy as divers with pride and dignity.
