Educational Visit of Logistics Staff Course Number 09 Sri Lanka Army School of Logistics

Logistics staff course number 09 of the Sri Lanka Army School of Logistics – Trincomalee visited NMA on 31st July 2023. The main purpose of the visit was to gather knowledge and to be exposed to Sri Lanka Navy Logistics’ role and functions. The group consisted with 32 (thirty-two) Student Officers including one foreign officer, 13 (Thirteen) Instructor Officers and Admin Staff.

The delegation visited Commodore Superintended of Logistics Department (CSLOGD) East and briefed on the basic function of spare parts and other general items procurement procedure with existing integrated logistics management system (ILMS). Further briefly introduce about functions of a warehouse (SPDC), Navy apparels, AVCO Area Victualling & Clothing Officer (AVCO) of Eastern Naval Area. Moreover, the delegation visited onboard SLNS Sayura.  

The occasion was graced by the Chief Instructor Col GTS Silva USP,QLCO, Lsc, ato of Army Logistics School, Senior course coordinator Long Logistics Management Course(LLMC) Captain (S) TP Masso, Training Captain (N) HAC Priyantha, Captain Logistics department Captain (S) RSL Karunarathne,  OIC Logistics and Management School Commander (S) MP Fernando, and Senior most student officer of LLMC No 08 with other sister forces LLMC course participants.
