Sri Lanka Navy and Air Force tighten up their ties

Twenty nine Student Officers of the 73rd Junior Command & Staff Course (JC&SC), four Directing Staff and the Admin Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay, made its programmed visit to the Junior Naval Staff College of Naval and Maritime Academy on 31st July 2023. Being parallel courses which share common objectives, the main purpose of the visit was to uplift the interaction, share the experience and views among the student officers of Junior Naval Staff Course of the Sri Lanka Navy and Junior Command and Staff Course of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

The SLAF delegation visited onboard SLNS Sayura and Fast Attack Craft P464 and also participated in an introductory presentation on Junior Naval Staff College at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium.  Subsequently, student officers of the 73rd JC&SC and the 33rd Junior Naval Staff Course played a friendly cricket match at NMA Cricket ground with the enthusiastic participation of the Directing Staff, which further strengthened the bond between two sister forces. The cricket match showcased the sporting spirit, talents and camaraderie among the student officers of both Junior Staff Courses.  

The event was culminated by exchanging mementoes between the Directing Staff of both the courses under the guidance of the Commandant of Naval and Maritime Academy. The visitors departed the Naval Dockyard with remarkable memories and experience.
