Opening address of GR III Qualifying course

The opening address of GR III Qualifying Course was held in high note at NMA Gunnery School on 31st July 2023. This course is specially designed to impart knowledge on weapons which are used in SLN to junior sailors who have successfully completed the Advanced Seamanship Course to enroll them into the Gunnery branch. The course is comprised of 48 course participants.

The Officer in Charge of the Gunnery School, Commander (G) Dhanuka Rathnayake officially inaugurated the ceremony and the Chief instructor of the Gunnery School, MCPO DSK Dayananda welcomed all the course participants.

The course participants will have to undergo 24 weeks of training programme including 14 weeks of Academic at NMA and 10 weeks at Naval Armament Department. The course will be terminated on 10th February 2024.
