The Visit of JOLC No.19 of Army Logistics School – Trincomalee

The Junior Officer Logistics Course No. 19 of Army School of Logistics – Trincomalee visited NMA on 27th May 2023. The main purpose of their visit was to gather knowledge and to be exposed to Sri Lanka Navy Logistics’ role and functions. The group consisted of 20 (twenty) Student Officers, 03 (three) Instructor Officers and Admin Staff.

The delegation visited Commodore Superintended of Logistics Department (CSLOGD) East, where the Officers of CSLOGD (E) briefed on the SLN Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS), functions of a warehouse (SPDC), Navy apparels, AVCO Area Victualling & Clothing Officer (AVCO) of Eastern Naval Area. Moreover, the delegation visited onboard SLNS Sayurala.  They visited the Naval Museum during the evening and were briefed on naval history.

The occasion was graced by the Chief Instructor Lt. Col HPS Gallage, psc of Army Logistics School, Training Captain (N) HAC Priyantha, Deputy Training Captain WNB Darmarathne, OIC Logistics and Management School Commander (S) MP Fernando, SSO – SPDC Commander (S), JMDJN Jayamanna, Commanding Officer NMA Commander (ASW) MTDN Kariyawasam and Officer training Officer Commander (ASW) HK Vidanage.
