Inter School Water Polo Championship – 2023

The Inter School Water Polo Championship 2023 was held at the NMA swimming pool on 09th & 10th May 2023 displaying outstanding performances by the trainees of the Naval and Maritime Academy.

More than 30 players represented 04 teams: Engineering School – 01 team, PT School – 01 team and Officer Training Wing – 02 teams. The Officer Training Wing – Team A became the Champions of the Inter School Water Polo Championship 2023 displaying impressive performances while the PT School became the Runners up.

Deputy Training Captain, Captain Nilanga Dharmarathne awarded the trophy to the Runners up and Commandant Naval & Maritime Academy, Commodore Buddhika Liyanagamage awarded the trophy to the Champions.

The event was organized by the Aquatic Club of the Officer Training Wing and glamorously flagged off by the Commandant Naval & Maritime Academy. Directing Staff, Officer Under Trainees, Senior and Junior sailor instructors, and Sailor Under Trainees of   the NMA also witnessed the event.
