Commencement Of 04th Service Entry Officers’ Technical Course

Stepping in to another phase, the Officer Training Wing of Naval and Maritime Academy commenced 04th Service Entry Officers’ Technical Course on 02nd May 23. Inaugural session was held at Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Mini Auditorium. the Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy, Commodore Buddhika Liyanagamage grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The 04th  Service Entry Officers’ Technical Course comprised with 09 student officers in Lieutenant and Sub Lieutenant ranks from the branches of Marine Engineering, Auto mobile, Hull Engineering and Administrative Officer Health. The Course is designed to impart knowledge on theoretical and practical aspect while improving qualities and capabilities of the Service Entry Technical Officers.

Addressing the Student Officers the Chief Guest highlighted the requirement of acquiring essential knowledge to lead men and to make sound decisions. He instructed to maintain decorum, discipline, integrity, honour and punctuality during training. He further recommenced to identify personal financial priorities and manage expenses due to present financial unrest and also be in touch with love ones/ families as well.
