Certificate Awarding Ceremony of 22ndInfantry/ Provost/ Marines  Sub Lieutenant Technical Course

The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of 22nd Infantry / Provost/ Marines Sub Lieutenant technical course was Held at Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium on 22nd February 2023.  The Training Captain of Naval and Maritime Academy, Captain (G) HBK Manjula RSP*, USP psn graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The course was commenced on 21st February 2022 with 17 Student Officer Under Trainees (SOUTs). Seven (07) in Infantry Branch, four (04) in Provost Branch and six (06) in Marines Branch officers successfully completed the course.

During the 52 weeks in Naval & Maritime Academy SOUTs were exposed to absorb and weigh the theoretical aspects through practical training from different schools of NMA. In addition some modules were conducted by visiting lecturers, outside training institutions and other naval establishments.

The certificates were awarded by the Chief Guest to all SOUTs to mark the successful completion of the course. SLt (INF) KHPI Hennadige, NRI 4406 was able to secure both Book prizes awarded for the best public speaker and best essay.

 Addressing the august gathering, The Training Captain congratulated the SOUTs for achieving their career milestone and urged the young officers to continue with the learning process and perform well in future assignments. Further, he insisted the importance of grabbing the opportunity to sustain in naval career as competent naval officers in an ever increasing competitive environment.
