A public speaking competition was organized by the Logistics and Management school for PO ‘Q’ SA/WTR 01/2023 in order to improve their communication skills and boost their confidence. It was held on 17th February 2023 at Admiral Wasnatha Karannagoda Auditorium with the participation of Directing staff, Officer Under Trainees ,Senior / Junior Sailors Instructors and Sailor Under Trainees of NMA. The Training Captain of Naval and Maritime Academy, Captain HBK Manjula graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Forty one (41) Trainees participated in the preliminary stage and among them only six (06) Trainees were selected for the final stage. The winners were selected by a panel of impartial Judges which consists of Deputy Training Captain, Captain HAC Priyantha, Commanding Officer, Captain IHJ Buddhika and Director Academic Studies Captain EWCE Mendis. LWTR PDHS Pathirage, SW 83279 was awarded as the Winner of the competition and LWTR KPND Abeysingha, SW 80682 and LSA HAVP Hettarchchi, SS 80029 won the second and third places respectively.
