Training command dominates intercommand swimming and water polo championship

The Inter Command Swimming and Water Polo tournament was held from 17th November to 19th November 2022 at the SLNS Gemunu swimming pool. The tournament was contested by contesters from all the nine commands.

Men and women teams of the Training Command emerged champions in both swimming and water polo by manifesting exquisite performances in water sports. O/Cdt HRL Perera was awarded the best amateur swimmer in men’s swimming.

Director General (Budget and Finance) RAdm RACN Rathnayaka, RSP, USP graced the price awarding ceremony as the chief guest. Officers and sailors from Naval Headquarters and Western Naval Command were present at the occasion.
