Naval and Maritime Academy’s women team emerged Champions whilst men team secured Runner – up at the first ever Inter – Command Half Marathon Championship of Sri Lanka Navy held at SLNS Uththara, Kankasanthurai on 05 June 22.
The event was organised by Sri Lanka Navy’s Athletic Pool in accordance with the rules and regulations of National Athletic Association. 34 men and representing eight commands and 13 women athletes representing four commands contested for the championship.
Woman Physical Training Instructor GBHP Darmasiri and Woman Physical Training Instructor RSDI Senarathna placed the first and second respectively displaying outstanding performances defeating all women athletes.
