MOTIVATIONAL LECTURE CONDUCTED BY MCPO DM BODARAGAMA (RETD) AT NMA

On 01st March 2025, the Training Design and Evaluation Cell (TDEC) of the Naval & Maritime Academy (NMA) organized a motivational lecture conducted by Master Chief Petty Officer (Rtd.) DM Bodaragama. The event took place at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium (AWKA) and participated approximately six hundred (600) junior and senior sailors from various establishments and ships within the Eastern Naval Command (ENC).

During the lecture, Bodaragama shared valuable insights and motivational factors that are essential for a successful retirement life. Drawing from his own experiences, he provided guidance and inspiration to the sailors, emphasizing the importance of preparation and mindset when transitioning to civilian life.

Master Chief Petty Officer DM Bodaragama served an impressive twenty two (22) years in the Sri Lanka Navy from 1986 to 2008. Throughout his tenure, he held various positions onboard ships and in naval establishments. Known for his competence and energetic character, Bodaragama has been a role model for junior and senior sailors demonstrating dedication and exemplary service.
