CLOSING CEREMONY OF RP II “Q” COURSE NO 05/2024

The Closing Ceremony of RP II Qualifying Course 05/2024 was held on 22nd March 2025 at the Navigation School of Naval and Maritime Academy, with the presence of officers and instructors of the school.

The course commenced on 25th November 2024, with the participation of thirty (30) junior sailors and was completed within seventeen (17) weeks. The course aimed at imparting professional knowledge of trainees to carry out Radar Plotter duties effectively and efficiently onboard ships and at Naval Operation Rooms as Navigator Yeoman. All trainees were awarded with a certificate on successful completion of the course.

The Officer-in-Charge of the Navigation School, Commander (ND) HMWM Thilakarthna, RSP, USP, psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and congratulated all course participants during his closing remarks.
