THE TRAINING COMMAND BADMINTON TEAM SHINES AT THE INTER COMMAND BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2024

The Training Command Badminton Team has once again showcased its dominance in the sport, delivering an impressive performance during the inter-Command Badminton Championships 2025 at the Parakkrama Samaraweera Indoor Stadium in SLNS Gemunu. After an exceptional campaign in 2024, where they secured both the men’s and women’s championship titles, the team continued its remarkable streak this year.

In the 2025 edition of the tournament, the Training Command women’s team successfully defended their title, emerging as champions after a series of outstanding matches. Their unwavering determination, gameplay, and teamwork led them to another well-deserved victory, reinforcing their reputation as a powerhouse in Inter-Command badminton.

On the men’s front, the Training Command team fought valiantly and reached the finals, displaying top-tier skills and resilience. In a closely contested match against Western Command, they narrowly missed the championship, finishing as runners-up. Despite the tough loss, their performance was commendable, proving their consistency and competitiveness at the highest level.

The tournament witnessed thrilling encounters, with the Training Command teams demonstrating exceptional athleticism, coordination, and sportsmanship. Their achievements this year further cement their legacy and set the stage for future triumphs.
