CATERING AND MESS MANAGEMENT MODULE AT THE WILLIAM ANGLISS INSTITUTE,COLOMBO ACADEMY OF HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT, SRI LANKA INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SLIIT), MALABE FOR 28TH SUB LIEUTENANT TECHNICAL (LOGISTICS) COURSE

The 28th Sub Lieutenant Technical (Logistics) Course successfully participated in their Catering and Mess Management Module from 09 to 20 Dec 24 at Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management, Malabe.

This comprehensive programme provided participants with in-depth knowledge and practical experience in various aspects of Hospitality Management. The curriculum included an Introduction to the Hospitality Industry, Food Safety and Security, Personal Grooming, Food Preservation, Menu Planning, Costing of Menus, and Cooking Methods and Styles, which were reinforced with practical sessions. Additionally, the course covered Introduction to Beverages, Coffee Preparation, Food Service, Housekeeping Techniques, Customer Service Skills, and Event Organizing and Management. Participants gained hands -on experience, enhancing their skills to effectively manage catering and mess operations, ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency. On completion of the programme, participants were awarded with certificates. OIC – Logistics and Management School attended the Certificate Awarding Ceremony, Presided by Mr. Ravindra Ranjith – Deputy Director Academics.
