CLOSING CEREMONY OF  PRACTICAL PISTOL SHOOTING COURSE 02/2024

The Practical Pistol Shooting Course 02/2024 successfully concluded on 26th November 2024 with a closing ceremony held at the Naval Marksmanship & Sniper Training School. The event was graced by Lieutenant Commander (INF) AMDL Aththanayaka, the Second-in-Command of the school.

The course commenced on 4th November 2024 and brought together, a group of four (04) officers and five (05) junior sailors from the Sri Lanka Navy. It was designed to enhance the operational readiness of naval personnel by building expertise in handling side arms and practical pistol shooting. The programme emphasized in equipping participants with the skills needed to effectively utilize side arms in challenging situations where primary firearms might not be accessible. Additionally, the course aimed to elevate the Navy’s standards in practical pistol shooting, enhancing both operational capabilities and competitive achievements.

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in rigorous training sessions, honing their skills and gaining valuable expertise to strengthen their overall proficiency in practical pistol shooting.
