CLOSING CEREMONY OF RP II “Q” COURSE 02/2024

The closing ceremony of RP II Qualifying Course 02/2024 was held on 26th August 2024 at the Navigation School of NMA with the presence of officers and sailor instructors of the school.

The course commenced on 29th April 2024 with participation of thirty (30) junior sailors. The course was completed withing seventeen (17) weeks and aimed at imparting professional knowledge on trainees to carry out Radar Plotter duties onboard ships and to perform as Navigator’s Yeoman, Tactical Communicators and Plotters in Naval Operations Rooms. Moreover, it focuses on improving and maintaining navigation publications and equipment both in practical and theoretical aspects to do their tasks effectively and efficiently.

All trainees were awarded with a certificate on successful completion of the course.

The 2IC of the Navigation School, Lieutenant Commander (N) WABC Dias, BNS graced the occasion as the chief guest and congratulated all course participants during his closing remarks.
