CIVIL ENGINEERING SCHOOL OF THE NAVAL & MARITIME ACADEMY COMMENCED VSS REFRESHER COURSE 02/2024 (PAINTER)

The opening address of the VSS Refresher Course 02/2024 (Painter) was held at the Civil Engineering School Auditorium on 08 Jul 24 marking the official commencement of the course.

This course aims to impart theoretical and practical knowledge to make trainees qualified as professional Civil Engineering tradesmen. After successful completion of the course, sailors will be equipped with the necessary skills to cater to respective branch duties as volunteer special scheme sailors in the Civil Engineering Department. This course consists of twenty (20) volunteer special scheme sailors under trainees who will undergo twenty-one (21) days of theoretical and practical sessions at NMA. The Course will be terminated on 26 Jul 24.

The OIC of the Civil Engineering School, LCdr (CE) ABC De Alwis, the Chief Instructor FCPO (CE) KP Jayalath and other instructors from the Civil Engineering School participated in the course commencement ceremony.
