The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of 25th Executive Sub Lieutenant Technical Course was held at Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium on 02nd July 2024. The Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy, Commodore R Joseph graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The course was commenced on 04th July 2023 with 24 Student Officer Under Trainees (SOUTs) of the Executive branch. All 24 Student Officer Under Trainees successfully completed the course and obtained their certificates.
During the 52 weeks at the Naval & Maritime Academy, SOUTs were exposed to absorb and weigh the theoretical aspects through practical training from different schools at NMA. In addition, some modules were conducted by visiting lecturers, and other naval establishments.
The certificates were awarded by the Chief Guest to all SOUTs to mark the successful completion of the course. Lt MZZ Ahamed was able to secure the book prize for the Best Public Speaker while Lt MAM Amjath obtained the award for the Best Essay.
Addressing the august gathering, the Commandant congratulated the SOUTs for achieving their career milestones and urged the young officers to continue with the learning process and perform well in future assignments.
