The Closing Ceremony of RP II Qualifying Course 01/2024 was held on 30th June 2024 at Navigation School of NMA with the presence of officers and sailor instructors of the School.
The course commenced on 04th March 2024 with the participation of twenty Seven (27) junior sailors and completed withing 17 weeks. The course was designed to impart professional knowledge for the trainees to carry out Radar Plotter duties onboard SLN ships and to perform as Navigator’s Yeoman, Tactical Communicators and Plotters in Naval operations rooms, Moreover, it focuses on improving and maintaining navigation publications and equipment both in practical and theoretical aspects to do their tasks effectively and efficiently.
All trainees were awarded with a certificate on successful completion of the course.
The 2IC Navigation School, Lieutenant Commander (N) WABC Dias graced the occasion as the chief guest and congratulated all course participants during his closing remarks.
