OPENING CEREMONY OF OJT COMMUNICATORS’BASIC ENGLISH COURSE 1/2024 FOLLOWED BY PHASE III COMMUNICATOR QUALIFYING COURSE 1/2024

The opening ceremony of the OJT Communicators’ Basic English Course No.1/2024 followed by Phase III Communicator Qualifying Course No.1/2024 was successfully commenced at Communication School of the Naval & Maritime Academy on 18 Jun 24.

The course consisted of 32 sailors including 03 women sailors. This course mainly focuses on enhancing the English knowledge of OJT communicators before they commence their Phase III communicator qualifying course. The main objective of this course is to eliminate the fear and build confidence when they use the English language as a communicator and also to impart basic knowledge on Naval Communication which is required to perform their duties as professionally competent communicators of the SLN.

Further, the official opening ceremony of the course was graced by Lieutenant Commander (G) SWDN Sirimalwaththa officer in-charge of the Language Teaching School and Lieutenant Commander. (C) AWRMGWMS Girihagama second officer in-charge of the Communication School.
