NMA COMMENCE RP III COURSE 01/2024 SUCCESSFULLY

A group of 29 Radar Plotter, sailors reported to the Navigation School of the Naval and Maritime Academy on 18th March 2024 to follow the RP III Qualifying Course for twenty-seven (27) weeks.

The RP III Qualifying Course aims to impart professional knowledge to RP sailors to carry out duties onboard RADAR operators and plotters’ duties in OPS room, visual fixing reporter, demand, upkeep, and maintenance of navigation publications and equipment both practically and theoretically to perform their respective duties more effectively and efficiently.

OIC Navigation School addressed the trainees & emphasized the importance of this course to turn out good navigators in the future.  In addition, CI & other instructors from the navigation school attended the event. The course is scheduled to terminate on 19th September 2024.
