12TH PETTY OFFICER QUALIFYING IT COURSE COMMENCES AT NMA

A group of 09 sailors was attached to the Information Technology School of the Naval and Maritime Academy to follow the Petty Officer qualifying course of Information Technology branch.

The opening address was held at IT School on 26th February 2024.This course has been specially designed to provide advance knowledge of IT subjects for the Leading rate IT sailors for advancing to the Petty Officer rate.

The Second In Command Officer of the IT School, Lieutenant Commander (IT) WSC Fernando officially inaugurated the ceremony and the Acting Chief instructor of the IT School, FCPO (IT) KMS Shantha welcomed all the course participants.

The course participants will undergo 24 weeks of training programme and the course is due to be terminated on 30th August 2024.
