The Naval Marksmanship and Sniper Training School of NMA conducts firing sessions and events to sharpen the marksmanship skills of the trainees of NMA and other Naval personnel. A new remarkable step has been taken to initiate an Advanced Firing Simulator in the premises of NMS &STS under the patronage of Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy to enhance the firing skill of naval personnel focusing on MPMG, RPG, Browning 0.50 Caliber Machine gun and 9mm Browning Pistol. This has been designed by Leading Seaman DMAS Chamara XS 36379, a member of the research and development team of NMA. The Commander of the Navy allocated funds from welfare fund and special project fund to develop this Advanced Firing Simulator.
The commissioning of the simulator was made by the former Training Captain of NMA, Capt (ND) HAC Priyantha, RWP, RSP**, psc who graced the event as the chief guest.
