NMA launches her first ever annual journal;
the Porthole

The naval and maritime academy launched her first ever professional publication named ‘The Porthole’ an annual journal. The journal’s name itself gives a meaning that ‘we see the world through the Porthole’.

The Commandant who was behind the mammoth task in bringing ‘The Porthole’ a reality has officially presented the first journal copy to the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, RSP**, USP, ndu, psc marking the official launching.

The journal comprises of articles written by Officer instructors, student officers, officer under trainees, sailor instructors and sailor under trainees of NMA. The Porthole 2022 being the first edition, was named under the theme of ‘Economic Prosperity and Security through the Ocean’.
